Wobbling front end

Hey,

I've got an '04 ram 1500 quad cab 4X4. I had it out in the mud the other day, ever since then when I hit 50mph the truck shakes, quite obviously from the front end. I've been under the truck, looked at everything, it all looks fine. No obvious damage, alignment feels fine on the freeway, despite the shaking. There are no missing balance weights on either rim, no major rocks in the tires, rims are not bent. And no obvious suspension damage. The shaking is pretty rough, makes my hand go numb in a few miles, and blurs images in the mirrors. Stops fine, and drives fine. when I turn the wheel, it seems to lessen the wobbling feeling. Could it be the steering pump or dampener?

Any insight is greatly appreciated,

Thanks,
Andrew

I would suggest the steering stabilizer. A lot of people say they do nothing but with me having bigger tires I know my truck needs it. I broke mine once and removed it and had a really bad shaking to the point of almost not being able to handle it at 65 and up. Since by the sounds of it that it is only highway speeds I would check that out.

Is there anyway to tell by looking at it if it's damage, or would I just have to put a new one on?

the only way I can think of to try to tell is to take it off and see how hard or easy it is to push and pull by hand. If it is hard then it should be ok if it is real easy then it is probably bad. The only way I knew on mine was I had a dent in it and all the fluid ran out.
