My charge indicator light came on as well as ABS light intermittantly. The charge indicator, little battery, stayed on and the battery finally bit the dust. I installed a new alternator and hoped it would charge the battery but it was too far gone. I have now installed a new battery and the gauges have not changed much. Little red battery still there and the charge indicator is still low. Is this a voltage regulator issue perhaps? What next?

Welcome to the forum!
Many of the chain auto parts stores offer charging system tests at no charge. You might swing by one and have them test the system to make sure the alternator is charging properly. Or, if you have a multimeter, you can use the VDC scale to check the charging system yourself.
Are you sure you got all the wires properly and securely connected?
