A/C compressor clutch

Hey All,
I have a 97 Metro 1.0 w/124,000 miles. The A/C compressor clutch is chattering. I called 3 local autoparts stores and they all say I have to buy the compressor w/clutch @ $278.00 (reman) to $355.00 (new). Does anyone know where I can buy just the clutch? I'll go to a junk yard only as a last option. I feel a junk yard replacement will only go bad sooner.

clutch or clutch bearings? I got my bearings online for about $35.00 for my 98 Metro.
