2.4 head on 2.2 block?

does anyone know or has anyone ever tried a 2.4 head on a 2.2 block?i have a 96 cavalier and wanted to kno if anyone had ever tried it before or if anyone know if it would work. Ive seen something of the sort on hondas like the mini-me swap with the vtec head on the non vtec block. Im just trying to figure out what i wanna do. thanks

If you want a DOHC gotta swap the whole 2.4L LD9 or 2.2L ECOTEC swap.
