Sound System

I have a 2000 Sunfire 2DR Coupe with a Monsoon stereo in it. I was wondering if i would NEED to get an aftermarket CD deck to get a system or if i could hook it into the Monsoon somehow.
and also, does anyone have subs in their sunfire? i am wondering if i could fit 15's in my trunk or if i'd have to go with 10's or 12's. Thanks!

When I got my deck, they removed the monsoon, but since it had to stay connected to the car, it's actually hidden behind my new deck...

I have 2 12's (Type R's) in the trunk, and they fit pretty nice... hard to tell if 15's would fit though... definitely a pretty tight fit, specially if ya like the custom boxes...

so if i get a new deck, do i still get the power from the monsoon amp? mine is in the trunk, mounted to the side behind the carpet. if i knew for sure that i would still get the power from the monsoon amp i'd definitely be getting a new deck. thanks!

You should still get the juice from the monsoon amp - as long as the install guy knows what he's doing. I actually kept the factory tweeters when I got my system - they are pretty nice for bein' stock...
