How do I find 5 digit code for garage door opener? Our building has gates and they need to put specific code from tranmitter in their security system. Car is 2000 Contiental

It's actually the other way around.. your car needs to learn the code from the gate system. Very simple to program if you have the remote.
It does get a bit more complex if your gate system uses a rolling code.. but start here and see how far that takes you.

Hi, thanks for that and we did try that, however the existing clickers are devices that have a code and said code needs to be in the security system. They don't allow cloning themselves...otherwise anybody could grab the signal an clone an entry device, make sense?

Your 2000 Continental Owners Manual (http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pubs/content/~WOYCON/~MUS~LEN/41/00conog1e.pdf) shows the procedures I mentioned before (page 66+), but also has a phone number for assistance, and a website (that I can't get to come up) http://homelink.jci.com/
The number listed is 1-800-355-3515 for Homelink assitance.
I do have one observation from reading your specific situation, I'm thinking the security procedures on your gate are taking one extra step that most would not, thus specifically controlling every vehicle (or trying to), any scanner can still pick up your hard code when in use, their just trying to control the vehicles they DO know about.
Anyway, with all that said.. you can easily take any remote, set the DIP switches to a compatible code range (the gate control brand would need to be known to you), program that random code into your vehicle, then give that code number (DIP Settings) to your gate security people.
This solution is sort of backwards thinking, but that seems to me to be what's required for this gate.
