2003 Ford Ranger Brake lights, Hazards, Turn signal dilema

I have a 2003 Ford Ranger FX4 4x4 4.0 V6 with about 73k miles. The brake lights, turn signals (front/rear) and hazards quit working at the same time. I've replaced fuses and bulbs but this did not correct the problem. I returned a flasher relay module that I purchased because I could not locate a place for it. There's no mention in the owner's manual but I think this could be the answer. Could it possibly be in the power distribution box? I really don't want to mess with it and go through the hassle of disconnecting the battery. Can someone help me with this. I just sank $600 in an all around brake job and would like to do this seemingly simple task to save some money now! Any help would be appreciated. :banghead:

With adjustable steering placed in the 3 oclock position flashers and turn signals will not function properly due to the stress on the cable connector. Place the steering column in the 1 oclock position with less stress on the cable, not being pulled out of the male/female connector should work. I have a 2002 Ford Ranger 3.0 liter 6 cylinder w/98.600 miles and encountered the same problem with the above steering column positions. ihope this information helps.
