I have a 92 tsi, and when i turn my car off for about an hour or longer it is hard to start, like it is not getting enough fuel. If i turn the fuel pump on with the fuel pump check terminal and let it run then try to start it will start with no problems, but when i let it sit overnight it is really hard to get it to start. Any one know what could be wrong?

Check fuel pressure, sounds like the fuel pump isn't holding pressure.

How do you check the fuel pressure?

I dont know about the 4g63 fuel rails but mine has a port on the side that I can screw a fuel pressure gauge in to.

My fuel rail does not have a port for a pressure gauge. I tryed changing the fpr but nothing changed. Now it just starts and revs up to about 2k then back to 0. It seems to me that it is not getting enough fuel.

So there's nothing for sure saying that you're not getting fuel? Unplug your ISC and see if that changes anything.

i suppose that there is not anything saying it is not getting enough fuel. I unpluged the isc and nothing happend. I messed around with it some more and i got it to start but then it only goes to about 1000 rpm then to about 500 and runs like crap and dies.

ok i checked the timing again and this is what i came up with http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh84/abigweaney/carshow.jpg
The bottom pulley is on tdc with the cover. Should i remove the cover and see if the gears are in time? or is it out by 1 tooth?

Looks off to me. Should be flat level at TDC.
