I have a 92 century and no matter what the weather or time of not being run I am having a real hard time to get it to start. It will crank until I kill the battery but does not even attempt to start..It has fresh gas, fuel pump comes on and i have good pressure... Today i tried starting it and noticed that it sounds like something is leaking up along the front fuel rail when i turn the key to the run position and then back off again.. you can hear the pump building pressure and also the slight hiss of what sounds like air untill the pump stops and the leaking sound immediatly stops.. Would a stuck open injector be giving me this much difficulty starting? once it starts it runs just fine, but i usually have to get the jumpers out so i have enough juice to crank till it finally starts

Which motor?
Have you tried hooking up the jumper cables first thing before you run the battery dead? Have you tried holding the pedal to the floor and cranking it over? Have you checked for spark? have you checked to see what the fuel pressure is?
Does it start right away as soon as you use the jumper cables? If so I wonder if the problem isn't a weak battery. How long will it crank before it goes dead?

have you pulled a plug to see if it's wet from gas? also sounds like coil maybe you don't have good enough spark another thing whens the last time you changed gas filter? but that injector leaking is not good you need to replace it and if you do replace them all because you get it back together another one might start leaking. also if you check the spark it should be blue spark if it's orange i'd say coil pack. when you do get it started i'd take it to autozone and have it scaned...good luck..

No i have not thought about trying the jumper cables prior to start it for the first time, even with them once the battery is dead it just cranks and cranks. Generally it will crank for 10 mins with 30second bursts before everything starts getting dim. I have tried putting the pedal to the floor i cant tell if it helps though. some days it seems that if i can get it to fire i have to give it gas to get the RPM's up so it will stay running. I have not checked for spark but i did pull 4 out of the 6 plugs out and they were all nice white/light tan in color and not wet at all. Not sure what the proper fuel pressure is (i think i have the 3.1) but no i have not checked the actual pressure yet. last summer i had the tank, pump/sending unit as well as fuel filter replaced. I am not entirely sure if one injector is leaking, i just noticed today that there was a sound of something in the front fuel rail area that sounded almost like an air leak that while the fuel pump was building pressure and immediatly went away when the pump stopped. ill check the coil pack in the morning. are you talking the spark at the nose of the plug should be blue?

Got it started today. Replaced the #1 and #4 Coil and it started right up... I did pull a plug and look the spark off the #1 coil and it was orange not sure what that means but at least it started
