Wet Floor

Hello,
It has rained major here and I hit some big puddles today. Anyway, the carpet on the front passenger side was soaked. I pulled it back to try to determine where it came from but don't see anything. It is clear water with no smell and appears to be coming from underneath so I'm quite certain it's not the heater core.
Any thoughts? I see no posts on this so I assume it is not common. I'm guessing it is coming in through the floor board seams.

Could have come from under the door? Or as you suspect, possibly a hole in the floor board, usually the support for the seats is first to go or if you have the notorious a-pillar rott around the windshield it leaked in through there down the pilar to the floor (which eventually gets to aforementioned seat support to cause the rott there.

Kentw.....my son lives in Charleston and goes to C of C. Yes...it really floods down there !!!
the drainage is terrible...I remember on time he lived on Ashley off Rutledge...there was TWO feet of water in the road for days !!!!
If you are SURE it is NOT anitfreeze...then check the floor/door seals like WrightZ28 noted...
My 95 FB...the just quit on me...had the same issue...but it was the heater core !!! found it by performing a pressure check....it was a pain to replace...
Cheers mate.... bottoms up !!! Dr. JJ

I truely doubt that you'd get that much water through any floorboard seams.
A real possibility is the windshield leaking atthe bottom and the water running down behind the dash.

At one driving school I worked for, I kept a Thomas guide/mapsco map in the back seat passenger side on the floor.
For about a week after I got done with my students, I would get things from the back seat and notice my map book was always wet. I thought my water bottle or cooler was leaking or spilling water, but it kept happening with no cooler or water bottle.
We had the mechanic check it out, it was a part of the AC system that was leaking water into the floor board. They had to replace some hoses or something and that fixed the problem.

That was the drain hose for the evaporator..good thing to look for.

Hmm, I didn't get emails when you posted, I guess I need to fix that. Anyway thanks for all the replies. I pulled back the carpet to let it dry and put some seam sealer around the seams. There seemed to be some areas where it was not a thick so I figured it can't hurt. I checked the sides and back of the dash and everything appears dry.
It has rained major here the past couple of days and so far the floor is still dry. I'm not 100% convinced that the seam sealer fixed the problem so I will keep an eye on it.
