I dont really want to throw parts at it but i think its the ignition module but i dont want to buy a new one if thats not the problem. anyone know how to test these?? if its not that whats next?? the ecu??

I had the same problem on my 89 Century. My car did not have a distributor, so I don't know if this will help, but the problem was a bad crankshaft sensor. By the way, an ingnition module can be tested at Autozone.
