1994 dodge ram 5.9L
I had to change my seal on my transmission pump
It was very easy to pull the transmission
The hard part is putting it back on.
I tryed to install it but it wont lock in with the torque converter.
I have the torque converter bolted to the engine plate already.
I was told I should lock the torque converter into the transmission first and then install it and bolt it to the engine?
I need some advice.
Right now the torque converter is on and the transmission will not lock all the way onto the torque converter. I think I have to turn the torque converter a few times around to get them to lock together. It is very difficult to turn. I feel that the metal will snap if I try. :banghead:

Install the TC to the tranny first , and make sure it's on all the way. Then rotate it so it's lines up with the flex plate bolt holes as close as you can, where you had it bolted on in the first place. Then easily work the tranny into place and rotate the TC slightly to line up holes. Make sure tranny is seated tight to motor before you install bell housing bolts. Don't force them to pull the tranny to the motor.
