My Parents are heading to the Cape to watch the launch. Where is the best place to watch it from( they are in there mid 70s ) and do you have any other suggestions on other activities they should do?
Thanks In Advance

As of today, the next launch is March 12 around 8:50pm (daylight time starts the 8th) - but it should be pretty dark by then.
SO . . . It should be spectacular.
Here are what I believe the 3 best public access places to watch a launch. Your folks should probably pick the one that is most convenient to where they are staying.
1) US 1 along the Indian River-front in Titusville - directly west of the pad - approx 10 miles
2) SR 528 (Beeline/Beachline) on the north side of the causeway as it crosses the Banana River (just west of Port Canaveral and east of Merritt Island) -vdirectly south of the pad - approx 10 miles
3) On the beach in Cocoa Beach - especially if they are staying beachfront - pad will be a little west and north (look at cape geography) - distance determined by how far south of the Port/Beeline/Beachline the beach location they choose

Dave, a buddy of mine saw the last night launch from, I think, the visitors center at KSC. I think he bought tickets in advance and timed it so that he was seeing all of the stuff there before the launch happened in the evening. Fortunately the launch wasn't delayed and it worked out perfectly.

That certainly works too - but contact them today - they sell out.
There is no pre-coordination and charge for the locations I suggested though.
