Manual to Auto window regulator change

I have a '99 GT Sunfire with manual windows and locks, and my '97 parts car has auto window and locks. Originally I was going to swap the whole door but the parts key cylinder is damaged from a break-in and the interior door panels are different colours, so...what I'm wondering is: would it be possible to take the automatic window regulator and door lock motor and put them into the non-auto door?

someone else may know for sure, but I would guess they're the same. To be sure, just pull both regulators out and compare them. The door panels come off really easy, just a few screws. You'll be done doing that before you get a definite response.
Just remember you'll have to run wires into both doors... usually kindda tricky around the 'A' pillar if you make it look professional.

Bolt up physically yes...
You'd be better off with an aftermarket auto lock system than trying to get it all to work with the factory wiring.

Thanks for the replies, I would have just looked at them but the wife had the car for the night... besides, it's frigging freezing out there! Someone is coming tomorrow to buy my spare door so I'll be taking the parts out soon enough; I'll update the post if I'm able to swap them over.

you'll be able too, it's just a question of whether or not it's worth it. I personally prefer the ol' fashioned crank windows. I've repaired hundreds if not thousands of power windows; and probably about 3 crank windows...

That is a good point... I'll be sure to hang onto the manual regulator if I do swap it over.
