03 Malibu Brake Issue

Hey All,
Just changed the front pads on an 03' Malibu. Put everything back on the proper way, and filled the brake fluid back up the max. Put the cap on, got in and started the car, pushed the brake pedal down, and to the floor it went. Tried pumping it up and even bleeding the lines, but to no avail. The pedal still goes to the floor. Does it sound like there is air still in the lines? Could this be a master cylinder problem? Everything was working normally until I changed the pads. This is quite perplexing.

Thanks!
Mike

How much fluid did it take to fill the canister? Any puddles, etc? To insure no air in the lines, bleed the brakes starting at the corner furthest from the master cylinder (right rear) working your way to the corner closest to the master cylinder (left front) and bleed until clear fluid is coming from the bleeders. Look in this forum or elsewhere for proper procedures to bleed your particular system (ABS. etc.).
