1. Not that familiar with older Jeep drive trains but it should be like newer Jeeps, full AND 2 wheel drive.
2. I've seen them go well in to 200k mi. but it depends on how well it was/is maintained.
3. It's a Jeep, not a sports car. If you are looking for better performance buy a 1998 with a 5.9 liter V8; a 1999-2004 with a high output 4.7 liter or a 2005> with a hemi.

Here are my answers based on my '94 GC, 4L 6 cyl Laredo (the V8 and/or Limited might be different):
-It has full time 4WD correct, no 2wd mode?
>>Mine has part-time 4WD (usually 2-wheel drive, rear);
-How many miles are these things known to go for, mine has 130k?
>>I just crossed over 200,000 and it's working well. Replace the tranny at around 160K. The engine is like new.
-How quick are they 0-60 and 1/4 mile?
>>Mine has probably lasted in good shape because I take it easy on the peddles (both gas and brake). I don't intend to see how fast it can go, as long as it keeps me on the road and continues pulling an occasional trailer.
The only time I would be inclined to race is on slick pavement when I need to throw it into 4WD to escape from a crazy sports car driver who will only spin on slick pavement. Be careful, though. Even 4WD can't defy the laws of physics.
Enjoy your Jeep!

Just curious, why are you interested in a fast Jeep?
