Trailer light electrical hookup

Hi, I have a 1996 750iL. I'd like to put a hitch on it to occasionally tow a utility trailer or a bike hanger. Is a there a simple way of getting to the wiring in the trunk and hook up an electrical plug for the lights? Does anyone have any info on this or can anyone tell me where to get it?
