I have a '99 Blazer and having pump problems. I have put three pumps on this thing in the last four years. Two Carters and the last one which everyone said to get was a Delphi. It lasted for a little over a year. Yesterday my wife had the oil changed, picked up it up and started to town when it started to sputter. She took it back to where she got the oil changed which is one of the guys that does my work when I don't have the time to see if there was something they did. He checked it out and thought it was the pump because it was making a bunch of noise. So I sent her to pick it up this morning to bring home so I could put on a new pump and it is doing like it did when the other pumps went out, turns over but will not start. I changed the wiring harness when I replaced the first pump. I thought the Delphi was the best to get not to have this problem. Now I am hearing to get an AC Delco from GM. Any help on this please. I hate dropping $400 dollars and the time it takes to do this every 12-14 months.

Don't be suprised when you order the Delco pump, another Delphi shows up.
Delco spun off the pump making unit to Delphi.
Any Delco pumps still available are more than 3 years old.
I've ordered parts from Napa, and Rock Auto under the Delco name, and Delphi parts were delivered. In one case, an ACDelco Ignition Module came in an ACDelco box covered with Delphi labels.

Thanks a lot. I was just online looking at Rock Auto. So if that's the case I can get a Delphi from my local NAPA and save on the shipping.

I bought mine from carquest for 290.00 napa didn't have one at the time. It came with the new wiring to change out.

Make sure you check the resistance of the ground wire from the module connector to chassis ground... must be less than 5 ohms. High resistance will cause pumps to fail prematurely no matter what brand the pump is.
