I have an 05 LeSabre custom with 40,000 miles on it and my buddy has an 03 LeSabre with 38,000 miles on it. We are both having the same tread ware issue with our front tires and we believe it is being cause by low air pressure but are stumped because we both run the factory recommended air pressure of 35 lb. The tread on both of our cars is good in the center but the inside and outside treads on both front tires of our cars is worn considerably more than the center. I have owned several from wheel drive vehicles so, I know that front wheel drive cars tend to do this to an extent but this ware seems to me to be more than normally expected. We have both had our cars aligned and tires re-balanced so we know that isn't an issue. I also tried bumping mine up to 37 lb but that hasn't seemed to make much difference. My question is, has anyone else had this problem, or is this normal for LeSabre's and if not, does anyone have any suggestions. Maybe we should try running 40lb in the tires.. Anyway, we are both open to suggestions. Thanks..

i sell tires, this is what i do if i have customer with this issue. have you rotated these tires every 5000? ok, if so, then check your max cold pressure for your tire on the sidewall. if its like 45 then run like 42 in it. make sure this tire is cold, first thing in the morning or hasnt been drove that day for couple hours and has not been sitting in the sun. goodluck

My wife's 2001 LeSabre has about 100,000 miles on her Michelin's and while they are showing a little wear (I really mean just a little) the wear is even. I run 35 PSI in them, and no problems at all.
