Head Swap

I have been looking at a CRX with the D15A1 carbed engine in it. I've chatted with the owner and he says the head had got tossed. So, I've tried to price a new head for it and have found nothing. My question is, will the head off a D15B2 swap with no problem? I'm not sure if the blocks are the same. I do know that the D15A1 is a 12 Valve and the B2 is a 16 valve. If so, would I use the timing belt for a D15B2 since these heads are easy to come by.
Thanks

Sorry, it won't work, at least not without machine work and rewiring.
The D15/16 has one head bolt hole that is about 1/4" out of alignment with your EW/D15 block and the oil passages sorta' line up. Another major issue is with the distributor since your EW/D15 used a vacuum advance distributor while the D15/16 used an electronic distributor that is controlled by the ECU. This means you will either need to construct some sort of adapter plate to get the vac distributor on the D15/16 head, or rewire the car to run the electronic distributor.
