Taking apart the Dash

Hey everyone, I have a quick question for all of you regarding taking apart the dash. A couple of weeks ago when I was cleaning the car, I sprayed some cleaner on the clear plastic covering the speedometer and tach. Unfortunatly, I think some of the cleaner leaked around the little piece of plastic that is used to reset the odometer. Now on the back of the plastic there are some discolorations.
How difficult is it to take that piece of dash off? If possible, I want to take it off and scrub it clean. Currently it is not interfering with anything, its just bugging the crap out of me.
BTW, I have a 99 GLE.
I would apreciate all the advice I can get. Thanks!

ok, u need to take off that plastic piece that is right above ur knees when ur driving (2 screws) then u will have to drop the steering column (2 bolts) jus look where the steering column leads to and u wil see them. then there are a couple of screws around the tach and spedo cluster. i think that you will have to pull off some of the trim pieces too and remember to disconect all the wires. they there are a few more screws holding in the cluster, jus take thoes out too. then jus need to take the plastic piece off by pushing in on the lil clips all the way around the cluster and its off :D it may take ya an hr or 2 to get it all done and back together, so jus give urself enough time
