2.2 blowing oil??

I have a 89' 2.2 with about 4000 miles on it. I put a weber carb on it when the engine was replaced. Started blowing smoke randomly, thought it was the choke because we have struggled to get it adjusted and functioning properly but recently it has started blowing massive amounts of oil out of the breather on top of valve cover .... any suggestions would help.

OK, this morning I dug a little deeper and determined that the compression is good in all four cylinders, 123, 121, 124, 127. So I don't think it is a bad ring. What else is going to pressurize the crankcase?
