Which engine?

WHen was last tune up?

Is check engine light on?

Have you checked for any codes?

Check fuel pressure with a fuel pressure tester.
Possible faulty Crankshaft sensor.

Go to www.autozone.com (http://www.autozone.com) and see if they have a service manual for your vehicle that should help with testing. Look under repair info section.

post any codes.

How does it die ? Does it just sputter and stall or is it like turning the key ?
Does it run rough and the RPMs gradually fall to the point that it conks-out ?
Die only during idle or while foot is on the accelerator ?

Could be a number of things but more details will help us folks keep from shooting you in the process of aiming at the actual problem.

There are a number of changes that occur as the vehicle warms... from cooling system pressures to catalytic converter back-pressure. From air-fuel mixture ratio programming to idle-air control valve behavior. About the only thing that shouldn't change is the electrical system... unless the alternator is bad and puts out insufficient charge at idle RPMs. (bad VRM) (though resistance to electrical flow does increase with higher temperatures)

Most likely a vacuum leak. The mixture changes once the car warms up and extra air from a vacuum leak will stall it.
