Hi, dear all.

This will be my first thread in AF. Through past years, i've learned everything of how to become a professional modeler from this adorable forum.

Ok, to pay u guys back, please share the process of making a LAMBORGHINI Reventon from FUJIMI Lamborghini Murcielago 40th ann version.
http://www.doobybrain.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/lamborghini-reventon-02.jpg

I have prapere this for about week, purchased possible things could detail-up my work, including:

# fujimi kit with offical photo-etched part.
# Studio27 racing car seat-belt photo-etched
# variaty of coppor plate/wire and stainliess plate/wire
# cloth and leather for interior
# planty of puttys, .....and sanding tools
?? not purchase any painting material yet, cuz its special coating color called 'Grey Barra', need more time ..to finallize the paint color.

Things still on my shopping lists are:
# paint Gaia/Finisher/MrColor ?
# carbon decal
# who knows

I will start my work tomorrow, hope friends here can watch closlly on my project and help me through this tough job.

I'm so surprised no one has ever done a TK for the Fujimi Murcielago....
I got my ticket for this build anyways ;)

little progress done today, I start with modify side ways, seens to me the most difficult part.

--------------------------------------------------------------
to cut bit from side door and sand away curve lines allow side bumpers to shape in

--------------------------------------------------------------
draft for copper plate folding

http://btdada.simpload.com/RIMG0144.JPG

http://btdada.simpload.com/RIMG0146.JPG

However after stick it to the body with AB putty as media, I found hardly to thick the gap between copper plate and the body, so have to think another way. I decide to reduce the size of plate i will use and stick it with 502 glue...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the result, I found it quite satisfied, will be nice with putty applied on lately to reduce the height difference

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

tomorrow will replicate the other side and start with putty work

That's cool!I suggest you to buy the Mondo Motors Lamborghini Reventon and use the wheels and seats, they are very good casted. It's a die-cast model, but its' good.

Daaaamn! You beat me to it! I'm gonna build Reventon also, but I haven't got the base model Murcie yet! But then again it's nice that someone is doing it first so I can learn from Your mistakes  Anyhow, nice project I'll be watching this thread.

Impressive stuff - what wheels are you going to use?

I am thinking using a DIECAST reventon wheel .... In China such 1/24 one only cost about 10DOLLAR...suprisingly cheep.

And yup, fujimi Murcielago is now quite hard to get, I am lucky to get one with reasonable price

tommorw I will update my progress, hope you can enjoy

some progress to update

Front bumper is worked to its shape, almost...
air in-take hole was filled with solid epoxy putty and then drilled to open hole... central baffle was from by ABS plate and epoxy putty

http://btdada.simpload.com/RIMG0245.JPG

engine cover is rebuild using ABS plate

http://btdada.simpload.com/RIMG0247.JPG

http://btdada.simpload.com/RIMG0249.JPG

Murcielago's engine detail has minor difference from Reventon's, so little work here. Made new bar cover

http://btdada.simpload.com/RIMG0251.JPG

also some modification on the seats, using epoxy putty to imitate Reventon's seats detail and some leather texture

http://btdada.simpload.com/RIMG0253.JPG

http://btdada.simpload.com/RIMG0255.JPG

thats all for this week's work, next week will start to build engine block and continue with the body work

A very ambitious project and you're doing a great job.

There is a very good 6 minute video on YouTube - if anyone hasn't seen it here's the link
