Automatic To Stick Conversion

I was wondering how much a job like this would run for if I didnt have the parts already. Because I was thinking my car is in pretty good condition, but getting robbed because its automatic... ~_~ Help Meeh out?

yea i would just go with a new car, I was thinking about doing that too, but then I heard the price..forget it ill just worry about doing little things to my car, intake, exhaust,tint. Later

I payed $3000Cdn for a ZC with an auto to manual conversion. That equals about $2000US. That also included a new timing belt, water pump, spark plugs and other misc stuff.

swapping just the tranny isnt worth it. but when you decide to do an engine swap thats the time to do it. it should all just bolt up easy.

you guys got burned. ive seen it done for $1000 or less. the mechanics ive talked to and know say its a easy job.

I haven't done it yet but I have been quoted $1300 to do this swap. There is no way I would do it if it was 3k that's for sure but thats just me.

The way I look at it just do what makes you happy. If doing a auto to manual swap is what you wan't then by all means do it regardless of price or what other people say.

It is not that hard to do...as long as you have all of the parts that you need

this guy at my high school did it with his del sol ... later told us he should have just sold his sol and bought another one, woulda been cheaper

regarding the auto-to-manual swap. im also considering it. ive gotten quotes ranging from 1800 to almost 3000 (cdn funds)

this is also with a ZC or a D16Z6 swap

Man, for 3Gs you'd be getting raped. I payed $3400 for my COMPLETE B16 swap and auto to manual conversion.
