My 96 6cyl. 4x4 blazer does not want to go when I put it in drive or after I stop at a light. I had someone repair my cooler lines and replace the pan gasket and also replaced 2 solenoids that he broke while working on it. It will start going after a few seconds. It does not do this in reverse and it has no other shifting problems. It did not do this before he worked on it but it had sat in the driveway for 5 months. What could be wrong?

The problem was an one of the replaced solenoids was unplugged. Now if I could just find a solution to the stalling problem.

When is the last time there was a tune up done? And have you checked your fuel pressure?

It was tuned up in August but it sat for 5 months after. Nobody can figure it out. The Anti lock and the brake lights come on then it stalls out and when you try to start it back up you gotta turn the key all the way off and turn it back on and it starts back up. Now the diagnostic is saying that the camshaft positioning sensor is bad. Could that be what's causing it to stall?

It could be a possibility, it would and could cause a intermittent starting problem.

Thanks for your replies. Could the cam sensor also cause the stalling?

Codes do not say sensors are bad or to replace them.
They point to what needs checked out.
What was the code no?

The code is P0340

The code is P0340

Code P0340 is for a camshaft sensor circuit/wiring problem.
Check the wiring and plugin real good.
Clear code and see if it comes back.
If it does get a good repair flow chart for that code and go threw it.
