Have you inspected the filter mount sealing surface to see if a gasket from a previous filter is still attached. Not an uncommon problem with quick-lube oil changes.

What brand of filter? Are you overtighting the filter and deformimng it? Hand tightening is recommended but some hands are stronger than others. How long does it take to pop out of place? Another thought , are you in an area with extremely cold weather? Gaskets have been known to deform under sub-zero weather conditions.

I've seen reports of this happening. In the worse cases the oil filter gets blown off and oil sprays all over.

The corrective action is the oil filter housing has to be removed. Behind that you will see a rod which controls oil pressure. In these cases the rod will be stuck in the open position which generates excessive oil pressure. So you have to get it to move freely or retract.

Once that is done and the engine is running run some Seafoam engine additive in to the crankcase for a short while to clean out the oil passages, filter assembly and oil pump. Speculation is that engine oil gunked up causing the rod to stick. After that replace the oil and install a new oil filter.
