GM1O GM8 block 96 s10

i bought a 96 s10 vin code 4 2.2 liter. It has blown#1 rod destroyed the block. (DAM IT):evillol: Found another engine out of 94 sonma 2.2 vin 4 but when i tore it down i found out this block dont have a spot for the cam sensor. The only#'s I can find is maybee GM8 on the blown block and gm 10 on the good one.. i ordered rebuild and every thing for it. Will it work without the cam sensor, or do have to find another block? thanks im broke and lost.:banghead:

thanks I found a 96 cavliler 2.2 that had a bad head and the oil pan was full of water. Block ice around here lol has cam and crank sensors in it. rebuilt it and running good.
