GTP Transmission Overheating?

I have a question cause for some reason it wont let me post a thread on here my 2000 GTP superchrged the transmission keeps overheating to like 199 i put coolant and tranny fluid in it but it still overheats. what temp is it normally suppose to run at and why would it do this

It would help to post your mileage. Technically, 199 degrees is not overheating. What are your symptoms other than suspected overheating. How does it shift, etc.

Right, trans temp less than 150C = 302F is OK. With all else normal/functioning one has to work pretty hard to get it to that bogey. I too am interested in how the diagnosis was arrived at.
The trans will attempt to protect itself under such conditions by shifting harder to reduce internal heating (normal slipping) of the clutch packs...the line pressure is boosted in such occasions.

You put coolant and tranny fluid in it? I sure hope you didnt dump engine coolant into your trans :lol2:
