1995 cutlass supreme remote electrical problem

i was working on my heating core and when i was done i lost my tailights,car was starting and running fine.started moving wires around under the dash now i lost my ignition switch. i noticed a light orange wire that looks like it had broken off of somewhere but cant find where, also there was a little red light that used to blink but that stoped blinking about the same time i lost ignition, they both appear to be a part of the remote start system. the remote start will still work and turn the car over.any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks Steve
