New Battery Cable Installation

First time at this site. I have a 1999 Ford Crown Victoria LX that needs new battery cables. I have a new set of cables from Motorcraft however I'm not sure how to get to the area behind the engine block where the ground is and where the harness bracket connects to the block. Do I just start pulling out hoses and go in from the top down or do I try to come up from the bottom and take something off underneath? :confused:
