trouble codes

Well its time to get the truck inspected. Truck runs good but has codes p0430,p0420 and p0153. MIL light not on and you know why? The previous owner removed the buld.I erased the codes and wanna see if they return. Any advice,and how are the o2 sensors layed out...eg.(what side is bank1 and what side bank 2)

Bank one will be on the passenger side. Sensor 1 is in front of the converter. You need to make sure the engine is running properly along with proper fuel pressure to start the diagnosis. Most of the time, the P0420 or P0430 needs a converter replqacement to cure those codes. If you caaan access the PIDS, look at all 4 O2 sensors. The 2 front ones ahouls be moving very fast and swing from .1v to .9 v. The rers should stay between .3v and .7v and move very slowly.
