can i reset the service engine soon light on a 92 buick lesabre without using a scanner

Yes, but before you do this, if you have automatic climate control, follow the procedure below;
With ignition ON and engine running, turn the climate control OFF & wait 15-sec for system to stabilize in the home position.
Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable. Turn ignition switch ON for 5-sec to drain any residual power, then turn switch OFF.
Reconnect negative cable & start engine. Your CEL should be gone; however, if the root cause of the CEL was not corrected, it may return. :crying:
