2001 catera

My catera ran out of gas, i filled it up it ran for about 1 hour then just cut off:frown:

When you ran out of gas and the fuel pump ran dry , you may have damaged the pump itself . During the time it ran , did it run normally or did it run poorly or somehow different than before ?

its also possible by running it dry then filling up you desturbed all the debris on the bottom of the tank and your fuel filter might be clogged. it happened on an old car my sister had. so you may want to check your fuel pressure.
