b16a1 into 89 std hatch

finally that damn d15 met its demise when the timing belt let go at 85 mph, so now i actually get to do my first swap, i ve read over many write ups, how tos, walkthroughs and on most this i am very confident in, but in all those write ups i have never come across a how to for a b16a1 into a 89 std hatch. I keep coming across b16a1 into an si that already has mpfi. I need specific step by step instructions for the wiring, the only reason for needing the b16 harness is to modify plugs onto the std harness correct? so if anyone knows of a write up with specific wiring for the std dpfi to b16a1 mpfi please hit me up and let me know where it is at. I am actually considering getting a conversion harness from rywire, has anyone dealt with them are they good? also when my engine comes in the stock b16 harness will most likely be cut correct? so if i sent it to rywire could they still combine my std harness and the cut b16 harness? also if i go with them is it plug and play or is there still more wiring that i will have to do? i know its a lot of sh!t (sh@to) to ask but ive been over all the walkthroughs i can find and ive been waiting for this for 5 years, and i just wanna get it right.

Rywire is a reputable company. If you have the extra money, you can't go wrong with that. I do not have any links stored for the conversion, so maybe someone can find a few to post up.

also i am just curious about something, just thought about it, i have the std model hatch, had the 4 speed in it at one point, when i got it it had a dx 5 speed tranny in it, l8r i swapped in the si tranny, seeing as the std model had smaller hubs than the other models, does that mean when whoever swapped the dx tranny in they had to swap knuckles + hubs too? because if they did thats less work for me.

Your wiring is just a standard MPFI swap. I did a nice how-to on the MPFI swaps, and I gave 3 different variations of it all.
On your transmission: The knuckles are different, but the inner joints are the same. I know this for sure because I had both a big bearing joint and small bearing joint in one of my transmissions(don't ask the details, because it was a frankenstein build).
So they could easily have swapped to the DX transmission and kept using the STD axles.

If you do in fact have the smaller hubs know that your brakes are smaller up front and will not be matched with the B16a1 in terms of proper stopping power, you could run into an issue where the brakes could overheat during a race. I know it seems stupid but I've had it happen in the past and I was lucky I didn't hit anything when they faded out.
