Does anyone know of a program to remap the ecu that you can put on a laptop?

If you have to ask these questions then you might want to think about paying a professional tuner to tune your car... one slip up on 1 cell of your fuel or timing map and bye bye motor... tuning is a very involved process and shouldnt be attempted by someone that hasnt done extensive research...

But you might want to check out moates.net... they may have some

I've used the handheld units to remap an ecu but I would rather have it on a laptop

www.hptuners.com -- get the professional version

www.efilive.com -- last resort

If you've never worked on tuning a car, don't even attempt to do it without a lot reading before hand. Know what all the vehicle sensors do on the motor and how they interact with one another. If you play with tables without knowing what your doing, there is a good chance your going to blow your motor up. Most tuners tune via speed density, but on our lovely J-body's they are tuned Via Alpha N. There are some EXTREMELY RARE cars which someone got a SD tune from the factory. 99% of them are all Alpha N.

If you have no idea what I am talking about, take your car to a dyno tuner.

handheld tuners are not the same as having to make your own maps... they have safe maps preloaded onto them and you just need to pick the one you want.
