turn signal and brake lights dont work

ok here goes i have a 98 s10 blazer got in it one morning and turn signals didnt work and then found out brake lights dont work either the haz. lights work fine but when i turn signal on nothing they dont even light up in the dash

sounds to me like the turn signal switch is bad. i know some cars the headlights run through it, hazard lights, not sure of brake lights.

Proper testing.
Check fuse and flasher.
Then check for power and brake light into turn signal switch and power out and signal and brake light out.
Let us know what testing shows.
