Hello-I inherited a 1965 Ford Mustang from my father; passed away in 2003. Before he died, he completely restored my mother's 1965 Mustang. It has been stored in a garage since 2003 and my mother and I have decided something must be done with the vehicle. My mother bought the Mustang brand new in 1965 and we have all the original documentation of the car along with the original price tag. Could you give me some insight on what the asking price would be on this vehicle?

Is it a coupe, convertible, or fastback?
What engine does it have? A 200 cid inline 6 or a 289 V8? If it's a 289 do you know what VIN code it is?
Is the car a 4-speed manual or an automatic?
Then there's the issue of the quality of the restoration, however, without seeing in in person, I can't attest to the quality, but I can give you a range of prices based on your answers to those questions.

Hemmings January 2009 shows them from $4000 to $40000+.
As noted earlier, MANY variables to understand first.
