When looking at my upper ball joints I found the boots to be torn so now I need to replace them. In the process though I also saw that my inner boot on the DS was throwing grease. I found out that all parts have to be ordered and I need a "half shaft"?? Isn't the shaft 1 piece from the wheel to the diff.? I didn't see where I would remove half of the shaft. Any advice on what a half shaft is would be great....Go figure, everybody has lower joints but no uppers in stock.

Half shaft is just the terminology for the lt or rt axle, not to be taken literally.

when I went to order the ball joints he showed me the picture of the "half shaft". I was getting confused cuz he was saying the 2 shafts join together at a "T". After I said the differential not the "T" he looked at me confused. Anyways, thanx!!!
