Trunk help

Alright, I have a 94 Prelude, and I got a new trunk lid for it, but I need the mechanism out that holds the wire to release it and latch it. There's a metal rod that goes in there somewhere, but I have no idea so before I go taking it out, if someone could give me a walkthrough I'd appreciate it. Chilton didn't help.
