Sup guys, new to the forum but not to cars. I have extensive knowledge with cars. I do parts for VW, and one of the few guys that is actually really really friggan good at his job. But I got me a hand me down malibu from my mom when she got a new car. Anyways, didn't like the car and it grew on me. Except last month it decided it wanted to play mechanic and it won of course. It decided it wanted a new battery, 2 days later a new starter and then 10 minutes after the starter a new alternator. Needless to say, its really easy to do. Especially the alternator. It cannot possibly be any easier unless you just look at it and it comes off.
No mods done to it, these cars are not meant for sport much. But its a 98 LS. Only thing it has done to it is sound stuff. Running a 1300w amp to power 2 12's. But I got a saturn (yes a saturn, and yes its fast w/ alot of money dumped into it) as my go fast car and I am saving up for a 08 Sti.
But the poor car has suffered neglect so it has a bad coolant leak. Well not that bad. But she needs a flush and a couple seals. I have a leak under the Tb that I need to look into and I have been slacking on it. But now is the time. My sister decided it was a good idea to mix coolants so I gots the shits floating around.
Is there anything in particular that needs to be done when doing a flush on this thing or is it pretty straight forward; disconnect the lower rad hose, put it back on, run it with flush, clean the resov. out, Run water through it till all the crap comes out and then refill and run with the cap off? The saturn's cooling system is self bleeding and has a valve next to the thermostat, is there anything I need to do with the 3.1 or just leave the cap off until it gets to temp? Any help is appreciated. I am not new to this stuff have been DIYing my cars for a long time.
I have had some sick builds including a 463hp 200sx blue bird swap. The saturd is getting n2o when I get the Sti and the fiance is getting a 330i for her next anny present.

I know a little bit about the car, but if there is any perks or things to look out for I would greatly appreciate it. And hell, if you have a saturn I can tell you how to pull the whole car apart and put it back together. I even have all the torque specs.
I know about the IM gasket issue, I am wondering if that is where my leak is coming from I will have to see. But anything else you guys can think of?
