Hello,
Just curious if the Revell 190E AMG is a reboxed version of the recently rereleased Fujimi version.
Revell seen here:

Fujimi seen here:

I just built a Fujimi and it was a pretty awful model and would like something that represents the 190E AMG better, hopefully if the Revell is a better version. However from the picture of the contents shown, it looks like it may be the same thing. Thanks in advance!

It is the same thing with different wheels.
Here's my AMG:

It's nothing special for sure. Designed for batery use as a toy, so you have to work with what they give you. It's one of my favorite Mercedes. I've built two.

Chris, nice work making a nice model from such a crap kit. I have one (AMG? Aero?) that I haven't built...one of those "maybe I'll build this" kind of models that gets put back in the box and back on the shelf every time I look at it.
This is when Fujimi shared the chassis w/the BMW M3
The M3 is really bad. The roofline is all kinds of wrong. This model must have been the inspiration for Revell's AAR Barracuda kit designer :evillol:

The E30 M3? I have been thinking about picking this one up especially with all of the aftermarket decals coming out for it. Particularly the Batsos livery! Is it not worth it?

To me it's not worth it. Roof is chopped, too flat, front end (grille, headlight area) looks strange, toylike chassis...stone age kit.

Thanks Bob. I really wanted the AMG kit and bought two. The first one didn't have the wheels. This one did and got built as a companion to my black one. It's a nice kit but lacks all kinds of detail. Just something to have as a nice display. My ying and yang cars.

Thanks for the insight! Looks like I'll pass on the ebay auction then. The rims that come with the Fujimi are awful, and I was going to put the same rims on it that you have on the black one, but decided it wasn't worth it! Yours look good for what you have to work with.
Happy building!

Most of the Fujimi kits from that era share basic chassis pans. I have always been happy with the bodys on them though. (Save for the rear wheel wells on the Supra3.0!) Thanks for the info, I will have to look closely at one.
