I bought a 2009 Mustang because I am tired of fixing this Grand Am.
Replaced the BCM, KEY, Horn Relay....but the HORN STILL BLOWS continuously when the temp falls below 10°. Blows until the fuse burns out.
Wanted to fix this before I kick it down the road.
Turned 100000 and went to he$$ fast. Two New Front bearing hubs, new catalytic cinverter, new fuel pump, new BCM , new Horn Relay, New Key Switch...what is next?
Pontiac definitely has a bad idea since the sun roof leaks onto the BCM.
Long time Pontiac owner has jumped ship...to Ford cars to go along with my ford trucks.
One more Pontiac after the GA is gone and then it will be all ford!
Repair shop cannot pin point the cause. It was in the shop 2 weeks trying.
THey gave up!
The door switch is the only otther item that I can think of that may cause the problem, but everything else works properly including the programming of the remotes and the Mode settings for lock unlock.... door switch plays a part inthe programming.

Have Tried Looking At The Under Side Of The Under Hood Fuse Box For Corrosion, Etc.

Definately sounds like a corrosion or connection issue. Also check for any voltage between positive terminal and coolant. Electrolysis can be bad on these cars. Check all ground connection for computers and harness.

Looked once...clean may have missed some corrosion ...will relook. Engine compartment has been kept very clean....Car has not spent a lot of time in salted conditions
I just don't want to pass along a problem to a new owner...
Car has been maintained at 3000 intervals even to the point of using larger oil filters...

Has the actual horn been replaced ?
Could also be the switch in the airbag... :dunno:
maybe just unplug the horn. lol
