Headed to Florida!!

So I'll be headed to Florida from Feb 28th-March 15th on vacation here. Anybody got suggestions of things I should check out while I'm down that way? I've never been there before and don't really know what is cool to see besides a shuttle launch and the beach. lol

I figured since my parents are going anyways I might as well go too. Then I can cross Florida off my list of places to visit. Who knows, maybe I'll like it more than Cali... But I doubt it. lol Heard its too humid in Florida. I'm not really a huge fan of humidity, but I sure do like warm weather! Enough of this 8 degree crap in Ohio...

Sweet. I'll be down there in the Disney area in May. Not long enough to really go anywhere else though. St. Petersburg is nice though. Stayed out there for like a week back in 4th grade. Was really nice out there.

I got a condo down there. there is a ton of touristy stuff to do disney world all the wax museums and ripleys and all that stuff. And just like beach it up and check some skin out.

oh and camel toe.

Definitely hit up the Kennedy Space Center.

I just went to disney over xmas break. You will enjoy the weather down there for sure.

As for the water and the beaches- I always liked the Gulf coast much better than the Atlantic side- St Pete beach was the best for me- parasailing was great.

Yeah, I've heard the gulf side is much better. I can't freakin wait to go! It was -8 here today... =(

May have a slight change in my plans. Was supposed to go with my parents but they might not be going at all now because of health conditions with other family members, which leaves me to traveling down on my own. So, if that is how it goes, I may hit up a few other places along the East coast during my Southern travels... Where is everybody located down that way that would wanna meet up for a day and hang out? I've got 2 whole weeks to kill traveling down there. lol

I'm back in Ohio now... Had to cut the vacation a little short cause my buddy traveling with me lined up a great job interview back here in Ohio. Crossing my fingers for him that he gets this job. As for me, Florida was mad awesome. I honestly came back to Ohio thinking this place is the freakin ghetto compared for Florida. Plus it was 40 here as opposed to 80 and waking up to the ocean right outside my balcony... Blah...

Well I didn't go to as many places as I had originally wanted to, but that was mostly because it took 4-5 hours to drive from one city to another (yuck) and I had to cut things short. We made a stop in Jacksonville and visited with some people we knew and got a bomb awesome free dinner (free is always good on a trip) and then we stayed in the cheap ass 50 dollar a night hotel. The next day we made our way down the coastline and drove through Daytona and was headed for Miami. About an hour away from Miami we decided to stay in Boca Raton because it wasn't a very busy city but it had tons and tons of money around. Stayed there a few days so we didn't have to deal with crazy hectic traffic and crap because of spring break beginning. Stayed there a few days and had some awesome meals in some really fancy places, hit up the beach which we mostly had to ourselves aside from a few hot ladies and did some drinking. After that we headed across Alligator Alley which cuts through the Everglades. I had high hopes of finding a gator and getting a picture of me wrestling it. Unfortunately I didn't see a gator the entire trip! =( So we headed up to St. Petersburg because my friends aunt and uncle lived there. (Once again, free food and place to stay) Ended up staying there from Friday till Tuesday morning. That beach was freakin pimped! It was really really nice there so we spent a lot of time by the beach, pool and hot tub. Stayed in a place right on the beach the whole time which was a great feeling. Wake up every morning and walk out on the balcony and just see the ocean and 70+ degree weather. Ate at a few different places there and cruised the town. Hit up the local mall and some other stores. Found an amazing Taco Bell/Pizza hut (that combination was unheard of to me before this) and got some pizza and tacos the one night. I unfolded my taco and put it on top of my pizza and ate it like that. It tasted amazing and blew my mind. I want a combination place like that in Ohio. =(

I ended up bringing home a few things. Some clothes from the mall and various shops, a tiki man, and a tiki guitar (awesome) and some random crap... All in all, it was an awesome trip and I can't wait for my next adventure! (Chicago July 09)

Found an amazing Taco Bell/Pizza hut (that combination was unheard of to me before this) and got some pizza and tacos the one night. I unfolded my taco and put it on top of my pizza and ate it like that. It tasted amazing and blew my mind. I want a combination place like that in Ohio. =(

Are you serious? Here we have Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC all in the same building! It's the same company! Nothing better than taco pizzas. Sounds like a good time. Where's my souvenir(s)?
