taking trunk struts off?

Does anybody know how to take trunk struts off a 2001 buick regal?

If you look closely at the top and bottom parts of each strut to the inside you will see a retaining clip. With a small screwdriver just pry those off and the respective ends of each strut will remove. Do one at a time to keep the trunk lid secure/up. I replaced mine in both Regals and it was easy. It made a big difference versus the worn out ones.
