Totaled !!!

:crying: I'm pretty sure I totaled my Vr4 Sunday. No word from the insurance company just yet on all the specific, but If anyone knows anyone selling a Vr4 or has a shell of a 3000 Gt please let me know I'd really like to try and get one back.

What happen

Pictures are coming my comp. won't let me load them from my phone and I'm waiting for the person who took the pics to send them to me.

It's not even a cool story to tell I still don't really know what went wrong. I was with my gf driving and was on a back road that i've driven before. Wasn't speeding but went around a normal bend and started to feel my ass end kick out which was fine but it took me into the snow and mud and towards a fence. i went to counter steer away from the fence and next thing i know i was across the road and the passenger side door was smashed in by a oak tree. The car must of went side ways and did a 180 I'm guessing the front tires got back on the road and the left headlight hit a small tree which spun me into a bigger tree. I didn't black out but don't remember or know how it all went down. We're both ok somehow her hand is pretty messed up she was holding the door handle and pushing her self away from the point of impact which probably saved her a lot if not her life. The door was pushed in atleast a foot if not more. :confused:

that really sucks man. what kind of work did you have done on it? If they do total it out, you could buy it back from them relatively cheap, buy a vr4 with a spun bearing or no motor for pretty cheap, engine swap it, and use the leftover dough from the insurance payout on mods.

I'm glad you and your girlfriend are relatively OK, it could have been a LOT worse.

Wow, you're lucky your girlfriend is still alive. Be thankful you bought a "heavy" VR4 because if you were in a early 90's Civic she probably would be dead. Good luck getting another VR4.

yup yup. They'll probably offer you somewhere in the vicinity of like 4k... Argue tooth and nail for 6-7k. That is the going price for VR-4's.

How do I know? because we supply the area with VR-4's, and we sell them for $6-7k :rofl:

I'd even consider taking that in on trade for one of my vr4's :)

The insurance offered me $6,200.00 thats after the deductable and everything. I can't really complain considering it had 145k and I only bought it for 5k.

I'm looking at one on auto trader but it sounds kinda bogus considering the price and mileage. The number i called is something along the lines of a fax number. I emailed the person but still no response :crying:

Definitely give Em or myself a call 610-438-0439. I have a nice red 93 vr4 to replace that one with. 124k miles on it with the cylinder heads having just been rebuilt.

I'll definitly keep in touch with both of you. I may consider buying mine back and parting it out or buying it back and trying to find a shell or one that has problems for cheap and swapping. Or the third option could be to let them take it to the junk yard find out where it's going and pull the parts from there.

O yea and my insurance is Nation Wide for those who asked
