I managed to take some pics of my dad's new car. I will post more pics and a review on my website in the future.
One complaint about the car is that the exhaust sound is quite soft, probably due to new laws. The dealer proposed a pipe made by Tubi to bypass the muffler and secondary cats. Does anyone have any experience with this setup?
Thanks,
Baron

What color is that?? That is really sharp. I really love these usual/unorthodox colors that have popped up over the last few years. Like the Ely blue 6.0 and the Titanium grey Murci in Salt Lake.
Love it. :)

My car's not that clean. This guy is Mr. Clearn Car.
btw -
The exhast is one of the popular mods for the Murcielago. Someone out here posted a picture of an exaust mod that had 4 exhaust pipes in a 2x2 configuration. Pretty cool.

The Murcielago uses the same crappy exhaust setup as the Diablo did. Not only will removing it make lots of hp, but the car loses about 100pds of unwanted weight.

Hmm interesting.. Dont see why they wouldnt bother replacing it... possibly there could be a reason, can they keep it within street legality easily with newer exhausts?
Anyway anything to reduce the weight.. the fat hoe needs it:D ;) 1600kg is just a bit to much, they need to get back down to 1500.. and an alloy frame and new exhaust would do that easy.. and hey why not get more hp while they are at it? As i keep saying i expect a 620bhp murcielago if they make a new model.. All this would make the car more appealing to me...

Wow congratulations to you and your dad for purchasing such a fine machine. Can't wait to see more pics, also the top pic proves the 10:1 ratio of Ferrari's to Lamborghini's. :p
Off topic: I visited your site and I must say I am very impressed with your photography. You definitely have a gift for it and the images are really good. Do you sell them? I was just wondering as there a few there that would definitely sell, especially the F1 and the location shots. :D

All factory Lambos must comply with US, Japanese and European rules. The european rules are very strict as to gas emissions, level of noise, etc... that's the main reason Lambos must carry those exausts.. but nothings stops their owners from moding it.. especialy in the states were those rules aren't that strict
btw, those who have seen the Top Gear Video with the orange Murci surelly drooled over the engine sound (I don't know for sure what was changed - but it's certainly more bullier)

Thanks for all the responses.
This is the first time I've seen this color. I'm not really sure what the color is called but it's a blend of silver with a tint of blue. It makes the car more elegant and less outrageous.
We are looking at an exhaust system since the car is not very loud. Exhaust sound seems to be softer compared to the 2002 cars. According to the dealer deleting the muffler will save a couple of hundred pounds, which is quite surprising.
I've seen the exhaust with the 2x2 configuration but it seems to spoil the look of the car. I've also heard it but the sound is not much better. Plus it costs about $7000 when there are cheaper and better options.
I'll post more pics in the future.

It is sad for all of you(who has really sport car) who live in the USA....
Because here in Quebec, Canada, we don't need to pass control for pollution. Of course, its sad for the earth..., but symphony for our ears :D
My friend had a mustang 99 with straith pipe and headers and the police never arrested him for his sound!
I think Burtoni make upgrades on Lamborghini..maybe you could found somethink.

If i had the money for a Murci i would probably wait for a new model.. an SV would be nice if they ever make one... but i couldnt part with that diablo of yours for anything:p I think a car like that would be enough to help anyone wait for a new murci model.

Hi guys,
Like I said a few days ago I'm travelling on business (in seattle now) and will only be checking in occasionally. So sorry if I have not responded to your questions. This will continue for some time.
On purchasing a Murcielago:
I think most people who own one of these can afford to pay cash. A $300,000 (U.S.) purchase is just one indication. The fact that someone would pay that for a non-essential luxury item is another. The fact that someone would pay that for a luxury item that provides such small benefit compared to other luxury items such as a boat or a larger home is another. The fact that someone would then hurl this luxury item up and down a busy highway is another. No sain person would not dare drive their home up and down a busy highway at crazy speeds unless they could really afford to lose it.
I'm sure there are exceptions though.
Nice car, again, Baron. :)

I always assumed it was the exception when someone pays down a car in cash or in one large payment. Generally speaking, there are better things to do with your money if you finance your car. However, when you are dealing with Lamborghinis this scenario must change due to the owner's "instant wealth". I don't mean that they won the lottery or anything like that, but perhaps they make $500,000/year and then realize that their bank account has a huge amount of money just sitting there from accumulation, or perhaps their stocks go through the roof and decide to sell off a million dollars worth just to celebrate.
I just can't imagine why someone would pay down a car in one full payment with a sustained income. On second thought, sacraficing for personal finances is almost a thing of the past once you have incomes that permit purchasing Lamborghinis.

I would love to be able to own a Lambo before I turn 40, but I'll just have to see how things go. I currently have 3 stocks that I hope will carry me into high cash returns. One of my stocks I allocated around a month and a half ago, has already had a return of $200, which my dad was very impressed by. Another stock of mine, my dad started for me around the time I was born, so that's going on almost 22 years. The stock market is a definate place where you can make a lot of money with smart and wise investing. Realistically I don't plan to be able to buy one until I retire and receive my inheritance. Most people save their retirement money to go on trips, I however will spend it all on a car. Tony you sound busy, but being busy with work is always a good thing, my dad always says. I hope everyone's having a good day, late!

It is not exactly true that financing will be cheaper; you need to find a loan that will not outspend the interest you would be making on the cash. In other words, a loan might end up costing you $30,000, while investment returns might, if you are lucky, keep up with that. Better to spend the cheap, APR-free money now than take out a loan.
Plus, it is a rush in and of itself just handing over that much money! Go for it!
