What can cause no fuel or spark and no engine code?

1998 Hyundai Elantra 1.8l Auto

I have a issue that I can't seem to pin point what it could be?
I get no Fuel, no Spark ?
(No Engine Code, Nothing stored in memory)

I changed the Fuel pump, fuel pump relay and ECU.
Same issues. No ECU relay on this car

What links together that could cause a car to get no fuel and no spark but will crank just fine?

I drove my car to the store just fine.
Went shopping, came back to my car and it wont start. After the 12 try it finally starts, so I shut it off and start it again twice and it's running great.

Drive to another store and go shopping, come back to start the car same thing, wont start.. Took about 15 times to get it to start. Drove it home and everything was great. The next day I get in, try to start the car and nothing happens.. Tried 50+ times and no start.

Do you have fuel pressure, just no injector pulse? Have you checked for a signal from the Camshaft Position Sensor and Crankshaft Position Sensor? Have you checked the fuses for the various systems? Keep in mind there may be a fuse panel under the hood as well as one in the cabin. Also, have you searched the Elantra forum for symptoms similar to yours?

Most diagnostics require a certain number of fault cycles before it trips a code. For instance, on my OBD2 chevy I was running out of gas. It hiccupped for about 3 miles before it tripped a low fuel pressure code. But when the fuel pump died last month it gave me nothing because it couldn't run to collect that data.

my point is: Diagnostic codes don't always show up. I wish I had a more concise answer, but that at least might explain why you have no codes. It could be a general ECU failure, or something as simple as a bad ground for the ECU. I would try maybe borrowing a good ECU and plugging it in.

Here's a link to another part of these forums I made that gives all the details about what the problem I'm having is:

This should answer most questions you guys have mentioned above.
Let me know what you think after reading my description from the link.

Thank you for your help, very much appreciated.

I really have no idea what to do now..

I tried the Hyundai forums, but the website was bugged and wouldn't load anything except for the front page, so I couldn't look.

I will try again later to see if there is anything that relates to the problems I'm having.
I will update if I find out anything.

Alright, let's keep the information in one spot. I don't have the powers to merge threads, but I did reply to your other tread at the link provided above.

Your car does have an ECM relay.

crankshaft position sensor 1st,i {had one to actually not go bad but the plug in to it ,caused the same thing} send pulses to ecm then if camshaft position sensor is picking up as the cam ,,is in the right position then the fuel injectior will pulse open as determined by ecm
