If I take an LS motor and put a Vtec head on it, what do you think it would run. What swap do you think i should get?

LSVTEC is a nice setup, kinda spendy, but nice. I don't know the HP numbers, but I think it should run 14 or 13sec. 1/4miles.

You just can't take a v-tec head and slap it on the block. You have to get some work done to it first. It should hit low14s or high 13s. I would just go gsr swap .

Congrats, you have just discovered the current rage. It's called a Frankenstein, b/c it's a monster if done right. It takes a little more knowledge than what most people have but not to much, results are crazy.

Here's some numbers for you on my LSVtec set up...daily driver, all motor, runs on 91 octane. It's currently being worked on for additional mods...I'll repost the new dyno test results soon.

I suggested gsr because it'll be less hassle for him to work with. He'll still have that nice lil tq from the gsr. Oh gsr can put out that much power also when built of course.

Personally I would just go b18a1 or b20b cuase im too cheap to put in premium all the time.

haha, i know you would reply soon Mellowboy (homey)...I'm just pulling your leg. If I had to do it again, I'd probably go with either a GSR or B20...

My next project will be a LS/VTEC build-up. They're a mean motor but take time and money, which i have some of...more time than money though.

For LSVTECs to get the maximum effiencey don't you pretty much have to use all of the VTEC internal componets like pistons rods etc... Maybe even fuel pump and water pump?

yo do need vtec rods, pistons and head bolts, and distrib and vtec controler. if you dont use the vtec pistions and rods the compression will be to low to make good power cause the rods are diffrent lengths. I have read ls/vtec runs 13.2
