Mileometer & Odometer

I have a strange problem.

After filling my Espace with petrol yeserday the button on the end of the windcreen wiper control was pressed to zero the trip counter. The trip counter went to zero and has stopped working.

Even more strange is the fact that my main Odometer has stopped working and suddenly lost nearly 40,000 miles off the total, i.e. it has gone from 72,000 miles down to 35,000 miles and no longer counts the miles

Has anyone any ideas.

Your help/suggestions would be appreciated.

HI There, i have had similar problem where my speedo stopped working followed very soon after byteh temp guage and the fuel guage. i traced it to a fualty dash pod. To remove it is easy. Take teh covers off your front speakers. remove the 6 torx screws ( 3 either side) and lift the whole cover off. TH epod has severela plugs on it so use soemone outside the bonnet to guide you to the release tabs. undo the 3 Tox screw holding the pod on and take it out. Fitting the new one is teh reverese. Should take about 20 minutes work.
Mine is working fine again now.
